How Baby Sleep Training Works
Our method was created out of a strong belief that healthy sleep habits nurture healthy children.
Our Philosophy at
Better Bedtime
Whether you’ve just started your child on the journey towards great sleep, or have been struggling for years, we’re here to help.
As moms ourselves we built the Better Bedtime philosophy and approach using our experience and sleep consultant certification training.
A well-rested child is curious, energetic, happy, playful, and eager to learn.
When parents entrust us as their child’s Sleep Guide, they are placing a great deal of trust in us, and we want to let you know that we take this responsibility very seriously.
While most books and programs dealing with child sleep issues take philosophical stands (based largely on the issue of crying it out), we believe that your child’s sleep is more important than our personal views on this subject.
That’s why our strategy places so much emphasis on accommodating different parenting styles. The bottom line is that you, as a parent, need to be comfortable with your new sleep plan in order for it to work for your child.
A Little Note About The Crying Method
Crying relating to changes in sleep is something we get asked about every day. It deserves to be addressed here.
Please understand that we will never ask you to leave your child to cry alone, nor will we ask you to ignore their cries. The reason that our method is so effective is that it allows you to develop a plan that you feel comfortable with, based on what you know about your child. We optimize your child’s schedule and choose the best method to minimize crying as much as possible. There are three particular areas we focus on to reduce the amount of fussing that may go on: timing the sleep appropriately, ensuring the routine is effective and responding in a helpful way.

The Better Bedtime Process
Evaluation
We start with a simple evaluation of your child's sleeping habits. This is to learn more about their sleep habits and where they are at developmentally. We speak with you (and your partner) about what your struggles are and address any questions you may have about working with Better Bedtime.
Consultation
Together we work through a detailed consultation where we give you all the information you need to teach your little one how to sleep. This step is one-on-one and provides comprehensive, compassionate and customized to each and every child/family.
Support
Questions? What do I do now? Oh no, am I doing this right? Not to worry, Better Bedtime packages include phone and email support as you start your customized plan and during the first two weeks while you help your little one learn to sleep. I also monitor your sleep progress via real-time tracking.
Video Knowledge Base
Better Bedtime offers access to a unique video knowledge base so that you are armed with information and tools to address future issues such as dealing with daylight savings, crib to bed transitions, and more. Supporting you throughout the entirity of your little one's childhood is our goal.
Happy Sleepers, Happy Clients
“My wife and I cannot say enough about the wonderful service that Bridget at Better Bedtime provides. Our 11 month old could not sleep for more than an hour on her own and was not able to put herself back to sleep after waking. After only 2 nights, our little one is now sleeping in her own crib and is self-soothing herself back to bed. We have our lives back!!!!
Thank you Bridget!”
“BEST parenting decision we’ve ever made. Our daughter went from bed sharing, waking and nursing every other hour and needing to be nursed, bounced and rocked for every sleep to sleeping through the night (12 hours) in her own room in a crib, waking up once to eat within a few days of working with Bridget. She is so supportive and reassures you every step of the way.”
